Production Line Lead

POSITION
Summary:
The Production Line Leader is responsible for managing the total operations of an assigned production line or lines to maximize production performance within established safety, quality and cost parameters. A particular emphasis of the role is to facilitate a team culture across all functional and cross functional disciplines for the specific production line. Through both formal and informal continuous improvement opportunities, implement and refine improvement ideas to maximize the performance of the line. Responsible for setting production line goals to make sure assigned production line performs at a highlevel with a focus on the long-term achievement of overall Operations goals and objectives. Communicates effectively with other Production Line Leaders, Supervisors, Logistics and Maintenance team members concerning production line issues and assists Production Supervisor with attaining departmental goals.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
1. Aligns resources of the site's personnel (machine operators, utility, mechanics, etc) to focus on all areas of the production line to maximize
production performance within established safety, quality and cost parameters
2. Reinforces positive team member efforts and embraces Continuous Improvement concepts to ensure team members understand that their work activities are part of a whole and have an impact on the operation and common goals
3. Motivates the generation of ideas and initiates Continuous Improvement ideas by discussing them on multi-disciplinary teams.
4. Defines initiatives and operations goals with input from Production Supervisor and other plant personnel to improve overall performance.
5. Develops technical specialized skills and knowledge, as well as team work, continuous improvement and discipline strengths.
6. Develops multidisciplinary knowledge and skills, and awareness of customer oriented common goals and achievements.
7. Responsible for all audit compliance for Quality, Safety, cGMP and procedure adherence
8. Ensures that the correct safety equipment is utilized by team members and that company safety policies are followed
9. Works with Production Supervisors and Production Manager to have consistency on all shifts.
10. Assists in the training and development team members on assigned production line and defines job performance expectations
11. Leads workshops that result in tangible key performance indicator improvements
12. Deploys the appropriate People / Safety / Quality / Cost / Delivery / Productivity metrics and management routines at all levels of the
organization
13. Act as a change agent to instill a Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement culture on site and specifically on assigned production line
14. Ensures through daily audits that tools are appropriately and effectively used and maintained
15. Ensures that lean principles are appropriately taken into consideration at all stages of the process improvement project
16. Serve as a business change agent leading process improvement initiatives, process redesign activities/projects which will enable the organization to reach the next level of world class operations by implementing continuous improvement-lean manufacturing practices throughout the plant
17. Promotes and enhance a positive labor management relationship including efforts to continuously improve teamwork and establish high levels of
employee involvement.
18. May be asked to work extended days with flexibility to switch shifts as needed.
19. Any other tasks assigned by the Production Supervisor or other management team members.
Experience:
Minimum Five (5) years food industry production and/or packaging experience with progressive responsibility leading people. Experience in different manufacturing environments. Success leading projects in different departments and functions. Exposure to implementing continuous improvement, employee involvement techniques, and change management. Implementation experience of TPM preferred.

o Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
o High energy level and excellent follow up skills.
o Computer Literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
o Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
o Proven ability to coach, mentor and energize team members.
o Strong facilitation and interpersonal communications skills.
o Creative problem solving, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
o Great people skills, maintaining a positive attitude, and the ability to motivate people are needed.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
